Picture Day is Thursday, October 5th. Make sure your children wear their best smiles to school that day. Picture envelopes were sent home last week if you are interested in pre-ordering the Fall pictures. These are also the student photos that will be featured in our yearbook.
The Scholastic Book Fair is here! The Scholastic Book Fair will be in the SPC Media Center Monday through Thursday, from 8:00am to 2:30pm, as well as Friday from 8:00am to 11:00am. You are welcome to shop the Book Fair, and of course, your child can bring money for items he or she would like to purchase during the school day.
Sixth graders in Ms. Finn's class are cooperating, collaborating, and working together to read, interpret, and analyze complex texts.
Sixth grade students in Ms. Finn's class were able to demonstrate their understanding of physical weathering by creating models of erosion and deposition.
SPC's Coach Carol McDougall was awarded a grant through NFL PLAY 60, supported by the Jaguars Foundation, the Players Center for Child Health at Wolfson Children’s Hospital, Wolfson Children’s at Southeast Georgia Heath System, and the American Heart Association First Coast. NFL PLAY 60 is a national youth heath and fitness program focused on increasing the wellness of young people. The Jacksonville Jaguars Foundation provides grants along with NFL PLAY 60 to encourage today’s youth to live healthier and more active lives. As part of the grant, our sixth grade students traveled to see the Jags play on Sunday. A great time was had by all!
Mrs. Skinner's fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students are studying the United Kingdom. Their engineering project was to recreate Buckingham Palace with Legos. Their work is fit for the Queen!
