As an incentive for our Jump Rope for Hearts campaign, Ms. Holcombe volunteered to allow students who raised at least $100 for the American Heart Association to slime her! On Friday, Ms. Holcombe braved cold slime on a chilly day to make good her promise. You are AWESOME, Ms. Holcombe!
Larry Dumas, of the Jacksonville Giants came to visit SPC on Thursday. He encouraged our students to read to be successful in life. Each student received a family pass to come to the Giants' game at the Veteran's Memorial Arena.
The kindergarten classes had a visit from the dental hygienist today. We learned about brushing and flossing our teeth. Also, we talked about good foods and bad foods for our teeth.
Attention, Parents of Sixth Grade Students:
Florida LAW requires that all students receive a Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis (Tdap) vaccination prior to entering 7th grade.
If your child does not have a primary physician, FREE immunizations are available through the Florida Department of Health-Clay County's Immunization Clinic at Bear Run, located at 3229 Bear Run Boulevard, in Orange Park.
A parent or legal guardian MUST accompany children. If you are using the Bear Run Clinic, please bring your child's shot records with you.
After your child receives the shot, provide a certified copy to your child's elementary school prior to the end of the school year for a smoother transition to junior high school.
